I Want to Make Money Online Writing – Is Niner Niner Legit?
I’m really surprised it took me so long to find Niner Niner. It’s not a new website. When I first learned of it, I nearly bypassed it without a second glance. I assumed it was going to be another low-paying blogging site. The only reason I went back to it was because I decided I should at least review it for anyone who’s interested in earning some money from the Internet. After looking at it closely, I was impressed by the wide number of topics the site has to choose from. You can write about the following things:
• public health
• healthy living
The list goes on and on.
Getting Started with Niner Niner
Getting started using Niner Niner isn’t difficult at all. All you need to do is sign up and follow the instructions. Anyone can become a member of the website, there aren’t any requirements. One of the things that set this site apart from similar writing opportunities is that international writers are welcome to sign up and start writing.
You’ll find a list of blogs that you can choose from which need entries. You even get to pick the number of entry’s you want to write. You don’t have to worry about paying anything for creating your account, it’s free, and the posts you’re expected to make will be really easy. The site only requires that the posts be 150 words minimum. Every single entry you post has to be 100% original content. The site does double check.
What Are the Payments Like?
Writers just getting started are so happy to be making money, they don’t pay much attention to how competitive the website is. However any writer who’s been writing for any length of time will tell you that Niner Niner’s payment program really isn’t all that competitive. Beginner writers will be the only ones impressed. Niner Niner has some of the lowest rates I’ve ever seen.
The most you can expect to get paid for those 150 word posts is $0.50 and most people only make about $0.10 per post. Writers, you simply can’t live on those rates. I’ve spent my fair share of time writing at these kinds of low rates, and will no longer go back to them, especially since I have a pretty good idea about the amount of revenue that Niner Niner ultimately collects for each blog post. Demand Studios has a similar set up and they pay $5 for each 150-word submission. Personally, I think that most writers would be better off creating their own websites. Yes, you’ll have to do some of the marketing for yourself, but in the long run you’d make more money per post, and you’d be able to retain all the rights to your writing.
You will have to write a lot of 150 word posts before you see any money. Niner Niner does pay with regular payments into your PayPal account, but first you have to accumulate at least $25. As of right now, Niner Niner is using a $5 bonus in an attempt to lure writers to the website. I’m hoping that this means they’ll realize that they’re not paying enough and will start to rethink their current system.
You should expect to sell all of your rights to everything your write to Niner Niner. This is implied by the fact that the website insists on all original content. Before you submit a single post make sure you go through the sites FAQ section and know exactly what to expect from the site. They’ve also created a pretty good support forum that does an excellent job of answering any questions you might have.
While I think that Niner Niner is a good site for any writers who have never written for the internet and who want to find out if they have what it takes to learn to post regularly, and if they have the discipline to write enough to earn a living, I don’t think it’s a site that any writers will work for over an extended period of time. If Niner Niner wishes to remain competitive with other sites like Demand Studios and Associated Content it will need to adjust it’s pay system so that writers feel like their time is worthwhile.
