My Credit Card Cash Online Business

I was contacted by Brandon, over at My Credit Card Cash and asked to test drive their brand new home business opportunity.

As Brandon explained: “We provide you with a professionally designed website that is updated with the most current and popular credit card offers. All you have to do is send potential credit card seekers to your

personal site and you earn commissions on the offers people apply for.”

Hmmmm…..could it be that easy? Like you – I’m a major skeptic when it comes to any home business. But Brandon was very professional and passionate about his opportunity, so I decided to give it a go.

Sign up was easy. I was charged just $1 to activate my account, and receive my website. ONCE my website generated at least 4 applications – the website was mine – FREE. And even if I didn’t generate a minimum of 4 apps – I would only pay $37.95 to keep my site.

Once I received my unique affiliate site – I began my marketing plan. Where would I market my site? After all – if no ones knows I have credit card offers – then how does anyone sign up?

I decided to do minimal advertising both online and offline. I made a “tear off” flyer for the local grocery stores, a few diners, hardware stores and libraries. I thought since they all had bulletin boards – I could easily post my flyers and I could do it for free. I used bright orange and hot pink paper. Something that would stand out. Then at the top I put – “CREDIT CARD FOUND – HIGH CREDIT LIMIT”

That would get the attention of people. Under it I put – “If you don’t have a credit card or have had your credit lines taken away in the past – don’t be discouraged. Easily apply online for the credit card that most fits what you want and who you are!

Then the tear offs had my credit card website link on it!

Online, I placed an ad on craigslist.org for my area. I was out just a few bucks. There are other great places to advertise too. Just do a search for “free places to advertise” or “free classified ads”. There are tons of places. Look for sites just like MoneyMakingMommy.com too. Sites for moms are great places to advertise.

Just remember – if no one knows about you credit card site…..then no one is going to come to your credit card site. And no traffic….means no potential people to apply for credit cards or to sign up for the business.

If I have one major complaint about all those people crying “scam” out there, it’s that 9 times out fo 10 — they do nothing to build their business. Nothing to promote it – they just sign up….and sit there and complain that they aren’t making any money.

If I sit around all day doing nothing…..I won’t make any money either. Whose fault is that?? How do I blame someone else for that? There are no guarantees with anything really….I don’t count on someone else to make it happen for me. I count on myself. You’ll find that most people that are successful are hard workers. They rely on themselves. So many people out there have some sad story…or some moan and groan reason why they are a victim of this or that….

I think there is a lot of LAZY-ITIS going around when it comes to creating your own business. I cannot tell you how much time I have spent working on MoneyMakingMommy.com (and all my other sites!). Many all night work sessions, learning on the fly, teaching myself…..troubleshooting on my own. It’s been scary, exhausting and exciting.

So I guess my point (and there is one), is that don’t expect something for nothing. And don’t get discouraged when things don’t happen fast enough – or don’t happen at all. Reevaluate, regroup…track what is working and what isn’t. Have a plan.

So now….back to My Credit Card Cash – and how it’s panning out for me.

So – with minimal effort I made $21.50 in just two weeks. I assume the more effort I put into advertising, the more return I would get. But I’m looking at potentially $43 a month by doing very little. So…I was pleasantly surprised. It appears to be a bonafide opportunity. My cost was just $1! That’s reasonable because in return I’m given the professionally designed website that is kept current for me. Because I did the minimum of four credit card apps – my site costs me nothing more. It’s pure profit from here on out.

If you are willing to put in some effort on letting people know about your credit card website both online and offline it could pay off very nicely for you.

Those that “just’ sign up and wait for money to fall from the sky – well, good luck with that!

Think about where you’ll market your website. Jot down your ideas. Have a plan. Then once you sign up, pay your $1 – you’ll be ready to go, go, go.

In all honesty, I think I will stick it out a few more months to see what happens. When you think of the demographics – everyone has a credit card – many are looking for a better one. Those that don’t have a credit card – want one. Credit cards are a fabulous, helpful financial tool when used with wisely.

Brandon also told me that they offer FREE coaching to all members. You’ll also receive six lessons on making money online. The free coaching, free lessons, professional designed and maintained website are certainly worth a buck for both those that are curiously dabbling and the on-fire internet entrepreneur.

**Update 03/23/2011: I am no longer doing this program. I received an email from someone that signed up that could not get decent customer service from the owners. Because I think that’s really important – I decided to stop doing the program myself.

**Update 5/2/2009: Yes, I am still with My Credit Card Cash. As a matter of fact I talked to the owners Brandon and Kyle the other day and they told me they’ll be doing another re-design of the site to make it even better! They are constantly trying to improve things so that we can earn more. I’m advertising the My Credit Card Cash offers and business even more. Spending half my profits on it right now. Between referrals and applications I’m making a little over $650 a month. But I am always promoting – ALWAYS.

**Update 02/04/2009: I haven’t quite been able to make $700 a month again since August – but I am still generating around $300-$325 a month. I promote both online and offline. The more of a promotion effort I make….obviously the more money I make. I talked to the owners of MyCreditCardCash in January ’09 and they are continuing efforts to make the program stronger and better all the time. I think the bottom line is how much effort you’re willing to put into promoting your MCCC website. The more eyes that see it….the better chance you have. I thought about putting up those signs on intersections. Maybe something like….”Economy Blues? Credit STILL Available” and then a link to my website. I haven’t priced signs yet though.

**Update 1/10/2008: I am consistently making $600 a month right now. Unbelievable!
-I do have to advertise the my credit card site – that’s key. I use tear off flyers and hang those up at grocery stores, libraries and anywhere else they have a board like the local pizza place.
I also advertised for a while on Jobvertise.com too. I found a few places to run solo ads like AdSaturation and 2BuckAds. You don’t have to spend a lot – but find out what works.

**Update 9/22/2007: I made $700 for the month of August! That brings me to over $1400 since I joined!

**Update 7/27/2007: I’ve made over $700 to date with this program! They are working hard to make the site even better for affiliates and should have the updates complete in late August!
