HOME JOB FOR THOSE WANTING TO WORK AT HOME
Home Job Career Information and Hunting Advice
Home Job Searching

Home job searching can be frustrating. Lets face it, there are over 100 million
web sites out there claiming to be THE home job resource.
This is what I think.....
We all need to be pretty savvy when hunting for a home job and realize that the
jobs are few and far between and that it could take a long time to find the
position that you are A) qualified for, and B) pays enough
The best home job would be one that was created through your current job outside
the home. Your employer allows you to telecommute part time and eventually full
time. That would be ideal.
If that's not the case, or even a remote option -- then having a "freelance"
type position is a possibility. Writers and artists have been doing freelance
work for years. Do you fall into a category that would allow you to freelance.
Do you think there is a need for what your skills offer or can you obtain enough
of clientele to keep an income going on a monthly basis. I have friends that do
IT work that now work "freelance". They've acquired enough clients and jobs to
work from home and arrange their schedules the way they want to.
The options are endless if you have a skill that is in demand. Everything from
dog groomer to babysitter, tutor, real estate agent ... all have the power to
work at home with enough clients and marketing.
Now...if you're one of those folks that thinks the $40,000 a year job with
benefits is going to FALL into your lap and that it's going to be a cake job
that requires little effort on your part......well-- call me when you get it,
because something tells me it's like the Loch Ness monster....a myth.
Of course I would love to have jobs to just hand out to people that fit their
skills, pay well and that they will enjoy. But I don't. Shoot, I'd be working
one of those jobs if I could find one! The truth is -- I do several things to
earn a decent income from home. I write, I do web design, I
am a
Procard
Referral Rewards Associate.
I enjoy this work very much. I am a Referral
Rewards Associate for them - and it allows me to earn a supplemental income 100%
online. I don't have to talk on the phone and try to "sell" someone on
something. Procard offers medical discounts. Meaning....a discount on vision,
prescription, physician/hospital and dental.
It's not insurance - but for as low as $17.95 a month, a member can receive a
discount on qualifying providers and pharmacies. I have a membership for my
entire family. I use the prescription card a lot because my husband's insurance
will not cover a medicine that I am currently on for GERD.
Many of my website visitors don't have insurance - so Procard can fill a gap in
many cases.
I've been with Procard for 5 years. I work very part time - and earn anywhere
from $150-$350 a month depending on how much I promote the program and the
benefits. There are many with Procard that earn MUCH more and have made it a
full time job. Marketing Associates can earn a lot more because they make many
phone calls - but I knew I didn't have the time to do that if I were to keep my
website up and running and updated.
Maybe Procard might interest you. I have more info on
Procard here.
Other ways I make money online....
Hits4Pay (I'm going to make $50+ this month!!)
FusionCash
I found that through the years when I did get an actual
"telecommuting" position like chat moderator or message board host, real estate
agent etc -- it just did not pay enough. The hours were few and the pay was less
than minimum. My degree is in Radio-TV-Film.....not medical coding,
transcription, art or teaching -- I had to find things that fit me, my
lifestyle, my family and my skills.
Now I have a "mixed" bag of jobs I love and that allow me to stay home. Am I the
mom that makes a million from home in just two hours a week?? Ummm....no? I've
seen many ads online claiming for this type of success --but I like to think of
myself as more realistic than that.
Don't get me wrong -- home businesses and the number of people in MLMs and
home party type sales are growing -- and many of them are making enough to quit
their real jobs and work at home. It takes patience and persistence. You have to
WANT it more than anything and LOVE the products (s) you're selling.
I don't claim to have THE website for finding working at home. I do have a great
site to use as one of the many tools you use in your hunt for work at home. I am
genuinely interested in work at home and all things related. My curiosity leads
me to much research and what I find I put here on my site.
I try to cover all areas of work at home. There is a section for
no fee
work at home jobs and
home business ideas and everything in
between.
Bookmark my site and use it as one of the many at your fingertips in your hunt.
You can also subscribe to my
weekly newsletter which I always put
telecommuting jobs in each week.
Every time I get an email or call from someone that found work or a home
business they love through my site -- it gives me inspiration to keep going and
keep digging. I encourage you to do the same thing. Don't give up, keep track of
what you find useful and always check back. Have your
resume
ready and your
cover letter.
