Your Feature Points Guide to Earning
I love earning rewards, cash and gift cards. Of course I do! I've written about that kind of stuff since 1999! Oh my — I'm showing my age! Over the years I've seen some big earners, some big losers — some lasted briefly, others are still going to this day like InboxDollars and Memolink.
I guess my absolute favorites right now are Mintvine and Treasure Trooper. But these are web based for the most part and with smartphones and apps, well the whole game changed a few years ago. This past year I discovered Viggle and shared that with you. I still use Viggle and enjoy redeeming my points on books. I also saved on my groceries using Favado and iBotta. There are just so many apps, it's hard to pick, choose, discover…. ahhh!!
That's why I'm here. To help you sort through madness and share amazing discoveries. Today I want to talk about Feature Points. When I first heard about it… I was a little alarmed because the name reminded me up Super Points. And sadly, Super Points DIED. But Feature Points is completely different and on a completely better level than Super Points ever thought about.
Feature Points Is a SmartPhone App for Apps
Do you know someone that doesn't have a smartphone? Well… I take that back, my Mom doesn't have a cellphone at all. None. Nada. And she doesn't want one really. But most of us have smartphones and almost everyone we know owns a smartphone. I've met six year olds with their OWN smartphone! (Not judging!) To that end — why not use our smartphone to earn us some cash and rewards? If anything… I'd like to earn enough to pay my damn cellphone bill! Feel me?
The best part about Feature Points…. well, there are two best things — it's available on Android and iOS. AND — it's open to everyone WORLDWIDE. Nice!
It's easy to download and free.
How Do You Earn Using Feature Points?
Feature Points focuses in on downloading apps. This is something I am always doing. And when I upgrade my iPhone and have more space — I'll do it even more so. Feature Points gives users a big ole list of apps they can download. Free apps. Next to each app is a point total. This is what you'll earn for downloading that particular app. You'll earn when your referrals download apps too. ( LOVE YOU: Earn 50 points using my referral code when you sign up! GYW5SA )
Now — you can't just download the app and then remove it. No no. You need to download it, open it and use it. Not for a long time — but you do need to at least engage with the app a little. Easy enough.
Once you accrue enough points, you can cash them in. And not cheesy stuff – but nice stuff. Amazon cards, iTunes cards, PayPal, Starbucks, League of Legends, Steam, Battle.net (for you World of Warcraft hardcore players like me!) I use Amazon ALL the time. It's how I buy Christmas for the most part. At the end of the year I cash in all my Amazon gift cards that I earn in various ways. (You can read about How I Earn $50 a Month, $600 a Year for Christmas Shopping). This just adds to my stockpile and makes that time of year so much less stressful for me. I think of it just like a Christmas Savings Club at a bank.
Is Feature Points Safe? What Do They Get Out of It?
I used my moneymakingmommy.com address to sign up. I have never received any spam or anything weird since signing up. So far, I've not had any issues and actually find the app crazy addictive. If I'm in line somewhere, or there are commercials on during my shows, I'm checking out new apps. And they've always got new apps to check out. So I don't get bored. Honestly — when I was at a gaming convention, I went to a panel on creating apps. They said thousands upon thousands of apps are submitted every week.
That being said – it's the very reason Feature Points was created and how they earn their money. Programmers pay Feature Points to advertise their app. Then folks like you and I discover it, use it, share it, review it… etc. The programmers are hoping for their “Angry Birds” jackpot. So we win, programmers get a platform to showcase their app and Feature Points rakes in ad revenue.
