Dell Work from Home Jobs and Career Telecommuting Opps

Work at Home for Dell

Dell Offers Many Positions That Allow Telecommuting

Many people own and love Dell computers and laptops. Dell is a huge company. I actually didn't realize how many of Dell's employees work from home until I came across an older article citing that Dell wants half their employees working remotely by the year 2020! Half? And hey, 2020 is not that far away. As well – I've seen Dell pop up on several lists of “work at home friendly” companies. So this led me down a path to do some more research and see just what kind of jobs Dell offers that can be done from home. Because, well… you know me — if it's about working from home, I NEED to know!

Telecommuting Jobs at Dell

So what kind of positions does Dell offer that offers telecommuting. It appears there is a broad variety, but on the day I went to research this article, I went to their company job search page and entered the search term “telecommute” and had only two positions pop up. BUT — they sounded like amazing positions. I decided after reviewing those two job leads and seeing the term “work-at-home” in the job description, that I would try that search term instead in quotes.

VOILA!

Over 140 job openings with that term! Jackpot.

Here are a few of the jobs listed:

Medical Claims Examiner

Healthcare Payer Customer Service

Network Security Advisor for Incident Engineering (Remote U.S.) Evening Shift Dell SecureWorks

Healthcare Customer Service Representative

Call Center Representative (Medical)

Cerner CareNet Support Advisor US Remote

Call Center Customer Care Voice Supervisor

Now, looking over all 140 or so jobs, it looked like a lot of them have to do with healthcare, healthcare claims, support… but that's ok, because many of you out there are looking for exactly that type of work. And even if none of the jobs above appeal to you, that doesn't mean tomorrow they won't post something that will.

Why Work for Dell?

Dell is huge. Dell is stable and reputable. A company their size can offer amazing benefits. So think health benefits, 401k, paid vacations and more. I realize there are a lot of folks just looking for a job “for now” — but others want and NEED a work at home job they can commit to and in many cases, be the bread-winner income source. One of the main reasons I even went venturing around for info on Dell is because the economy is still rough (no matter what polls say… it's not!) and there are struggling single parents too. This is the kind of work at home job you can sink your teeth into and make it your career. (Check out more work at home opportunities by reading my post, Online Customer Service Jobs.

OK — How Do I Search These Great Dell Jobs?

I am sure Dell posts jobs on sites like Indeed and Careerbuilder – but I'm going to tell you to go straight to the Dell site itself. As I mentioned above they have a job search page here.

It's pretty self explanatory, but I threw in the image above to make it super easy in case you have questions. I actually really feel like this is a little goldmine for those looking for long term, work/life balance jobs. And with a company like Dell — I think there is probably upward mobility options. And that's never a bad thing.

Final Thoughts

I looked around for feedback on working at Dell and found that on Glassdoor, Dell has received a 3.5 out of 5 stars. That's out of almost 6,500 reviews. Not bad at all. You can see those reviews here. And though it may end up being a total bust… some, or a dead end right now… it's at least another search spot in your arsenal of “work at home” jobseeker tools/ideas.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice comment. I know we all have busy, hectic lives — so I never really “expect” praise — but it’s wonderful to receive. I remember comments like yours on those days when I think…”does anyone even care if I write another word about work at home?!” LOL
Thank you again — and I wish you the very best.

Kelly. you have the BEST site, offering a wide-range of telecommuting jobs of all kinds. When I open your newsletter, it’s always filled with great surprises – and never the same. Thank you for doing so much work to find these jobs. My neurological disease has made trying to find work such a challenge, but you’ve provided so many sources, with short-term, long-term, freelance, etc. If I’m able to find work to do on my “good days,” I know it will be through opportunities you’ve provided to me. Since I’ve thought it often, it’s time for me to write and say, Thank You!
