How to Earn Free Gift Cards

Start Earning Free Gift Cards

Wouldn't Free Gift Cards Now and Then Be a Nice Treat?

Absolutely, is what I say! And for doing something you already do? Heck yes!

Back in the day, I used to score free gift cards from Avon. It was part of their incentive program for recruiting. At that time, I was a recruiting machine and had a team of over 200 reps. For my efforts, I had about $375 in gift cards to area restaurants. It was crazy! But also, so much fun. Not only did my family and I enjoy super nice monthly dinners “out on the town” — but my Avon team was growing and full of awesome teammates. The whole experience got me hooked on gift cards. BUT, I wanted to EARN them — not pay for them.

How I Currently Earn Free Gift Cards for Starbucks and the Movies

When I originally joined Swagbucks, I was ALL about getting free Starbucks cards. It's all I wanted. I also had a real dependency on caffeine. An unhealthy one. Once I weaned myself down to one cup of coffee a day, I no longer felt the need to JUST snag Starbucks cards. I went after Amazon cards and Regal Cinema cards. Which is great, because I use the Amazon cards with the $600 I earn every year online, and my holidays are paid for! As well — when the summer blockbuster movies are out and we have cabin fever in the Winter — we head to the movies, for FREE.

It's all completely doable.

And now… a Cool New App to Earn Even More Free Gift Cards

This app reminds me a little of Plenti. I'm not sure if any of you use Plenti, but I do. Because I'm with AT&T, I connect my Plenti card to my AT&T account and I earn points every month when I pay my cell phone bill. I can also earn points via other retailers, but for me, AT&T is the biggy. I currently have over 6,400 points with Plenti. And I plan on using my points at Winn Dixie or Bi-Lo.

But now, with this new handy-dandy DROP app — I can earn even more rewards! AND, so can you!

Basically, the DROP app allows you to earn points of tons and tons of things you buy already. Think of it as having all those little loyalty cards and key tags in one app. Using the app (which is super easy), scores points for you. You can then redeem those points for gift cards. And — not just lame gift cards — cool ones that you can actually use, like Target, Walmart and Trader Joe's! (And…yes, Starbucks — because hey, we all deserve a luxurious coffee now and then. Oh and Dunkin Donuts too, just in case you want a donut with that coffee!)

The Drop App is Free – and Here's How to Sign Up

The Drop app is not *officially* open yet in the USA. It will be in October. But right now, you and I can earn an EXTRA $5 (5000 points) by signing up now and using the promo code backtoschool.

And though this app seems geared toward millennials, I find myself — as someone older, totally using it. Why wouldn't I? I love free gift cards and I'm earning them shopping. So it seems like a no brainer.

You link your Drop app to your credit and debit cards. In turn, it tracks and awards all your points into your Drop account. Once you have enough, cash those amazing points in for the gift card that appeals to you. It is actually, that simple. You can also check out lots of others apps that help you make money or save money here.

To Get The $5 Bonus… Remember…

I've signed up myself and excited to use this app to earn free gift cards. In order to get the 5,000 bonus points that I mention above, you'll need to use the link below from your PHONE, and then use the promo code “backtoschool” when it asks if you have a code. That's all ya gotta do! There is a new early access promo code. They aren't offering the bonus 5,000 points anymore — BUT — you can still get in early using the code: getdrop. I believe if you go to the link below from a PC, it will only put you on the waitlist and NOT allow you to get the bonus, sadly. Drop App

  1. I love Swagbucks! It is so much fun and easy to use! It has definitely helped with our grocery budget as I get Walmart gift cards from using it! I’ll definitely have to check out these other sites as well! Thanks for sharing!
