Contract World Offers Work From Home Jobs

Contract World Jobs -Work From Home
“Contract World offers a great work at home option with several different companies like L'Oreal and Pizza Hut.”

ContractWorld Review

ContractWorld creates a slightly different work at home experience. The way they’re currently set up, the company connects you with businesses who are currently looking for individuals interested in work at home opportunities.

What Your Work Entails

The great thing about ContractWorld is that it makes it easy to find work you can do at home that doesn’t involve transcribing audio reports or writing pages of website content. Nearly all of the work available via ContractWorld involves working for a virtual call center. It’s a great choice for anyone who likes earning an income from the comfort of their own home, but misses the human interaction they got while working in a traditional work environment. (See my post, Online Customer Service Jobs for more work from home options in customer support. You might also want to check out, Non Phone Work From Home Jobs if you're looking to avoid “phone” work but don't mind doing support.

The Pros

The great thing about ContractWorld is that they don’t expect you to simply start working for them. They do an excellent job of working with every single freelance contractor and making sure that they understand every aspect of the work they’ll be doing.

According to Contract World's website, pay can vary due to the fact that different clients pay different amounts. But it looks like pay is still decent at anywhere from $11 to $16 an hour. Payday is every two weeks and they offer direct deposit which is convenient. They’re very good about paying on time.

Your Schedule

Contract World is very good about making it possible for you to work flexible hours and the company doesn’t have a minimum number of hours that you’ll have to work. At the start of the week, you will have to provide the times you’ll be able to work during the upcoming week. The work is very steady and if you wanted to, you could easily work 20-30 hours a week.

The Downside

The only thing I don’t like about ContractWorld is the fact that they make their freelance customers pay for their training period. The fee they charge isn’t very high, but I have always been bothered by the fact that any company would insist on charging for training. According to ContractWorld, the length of time training takes varies from one person to the next.

Contract World does expect you to supply your own equipment which includes a landline telephone and a very reliable computer system.
It’s important to understand that while you will be making contacts through ContractWorld and they’re not who you’re actually working for. The companies you could be doing business with include:

• Pizza Hut
• The Shopping Channel
• Trader Corporation
• So Good
• L’Oreal
• Etc.

Final Thoughts

This may not be your idea of a dream job. Maybe customer support and talking to people on the phone sounds horrid to you. But listen, if you need a job and you want or need to work from home – this is a legit opportunity. Speaking for myself, I never thought I'd enjoy customer support but I ended up having three different jobs in support and enjoyed them all. To boot, they all allowed me to work from home which was absolutely amazing. I could literally watch the snow falling out the windows, drink coffee and work in sweatpants.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience working with ContractWorld. I think it’s super important to hear from people that have actual experience. — even if it’s not a great experience. I think it helps everyone get a better understanding when they see all sides and have different opinions to mull over.

  2. I worked for ffph a part of contract world or livexconnect.com it’s all the same. I was paid per order 55 cents. So if a customer called to check specials I didn’t get paid. If customer called to place order got the total and didn’t like the price I didn’t get paid. It wasn’t uncommon to make 3 or 4 dollars a hour during peak time they say it averages put but it doesnt. They say you can make 8 to 11 dollars a hour. That depends on how many agents are working and since it is mandatory to work 8 hours of the 20 available peak hours. There are a ton of agents on during heavy volume times and there were times I waited 3 minutes between calls. Again figure that in with a 3 out of ten calls not being orders and it makes for very low pay. Plus you pay 25 dollars for classes 28 dollars a month network fees and you also have to pay a bi monthly fee to get paid. On top of 30 dollars a month for Vonage 15 dollars for the home line and 15 dollars for the taxes on it. Vonage is a scam too, but you have to have them. 59 dollars for monthly Internet cost. So you are in for over 100 dollars a moth before you start making money. I worked 30 hours a week. 120 hours a month and my highest grossing month was 848 dollars before fees that’s 7 dollars a hour.

  3. Why would I give up extra income? I have two kids to put through college! And I love my Avon customers :-)

  4. Kelly, if these jobs are so great, why are you still selling Avon as the main bulk of your income?

They do charge for you to take training classes for each client you want to work for. Some are more expensive than others and I believe most are reimbursed to you after 90 days of employment. But it would depend on each client — so you’d have to inquire specifically, like say for Pizza Hut or whom ever else they are accepting apps for.

I read the review just curious if you seen all the fee’s they charge to work for a client? My husband and i want to work for a work at home customer service client but it just seemed like an awful lot of money you have to pay monthly to them? Could you check their website out and see if we are seeing if wrong or if they really do charge a lot monthly to work for a client…thanks
