Are you a tweeter?? Or do you think that Twitter is for the birds? (Get it? For the birds…..ya know, the blue bird…for Twitter….ok – never mind….not so funny.) I know….you’re here to find out the best ways to make money on Twitter. And since I am making money with Twitter….you’re in the right spot!

Well if you’re “into” Twitter and struggling to figure out what to really do with it, you’ll be happy to know that you CAN make money with Twitter. Maybe not millions unless you’re a celeb or have millions of followers – but regular folks like you and I can make cash with Twitter. There are several programs out right now that give you ways to make money on Twitter. I’ve tried out two of these programs and I am very pleased so far.

If you don’t have a Twitter account….seriously – get one. It’s free and easy to sign up. If you’re doing any kind of business on the net or have a website….you really need a Twitter account. This is a great way to keep in touch with fans or customers and let them know what you’re doing, about specials….about posts you’ve just written and you can do it all in REAL time. Super cool and I think a lot of fun. I like being in touch with MoneyMakingMommy fans. They are the coolest followers ever!!

So you’ve got your Twitter account….and maybe even a few followers, maybe hundreds – maybe thousands?! I have around 1,000 and I started the Twitter thing about a year ago….so that kind of gives you an idea of how easy it is to get followers if you have cool stuff to tweet. And sometimes….like with celebs – followers just like knowing they are somehow connected with someone so famous. Of course, that’s not the case with me – I am not famous, but my followers enjoy knowing what I’m doing, what I’m writing about in the work at home world, how I’m making money from home….etc.

OK – once you have your Twitter account, you need to start getting followers. Now I know there are some automated programs out there to do this like TweetAdder and that’s cool and everything – but I would stick with just doing things manually until you have some kind of huge list or something – then it might make sense to use something like TweetAdder. I know a lot of the pros use it and it’s a pretty simple, nifty program – but to start, I’d say just do things regularly. Do searches to find others that have similar interests. That’s what I do. I just do searches for other folks that like or talk about the same stuff as me. Whether it’s gaming and playing World of Warcraft or baking banana bread!

Sponsored Tweets – It’s exactly what it says. You’re paid to send sponsored tweets to your followers. Your followers will know it’s a sponsored tweet because it will be marked as so – but if it’s something that might be of interest to your followers – than it doesn’t matter.

MagPie – This program is very cool. I love it the most. You have total control over what tweets come across your timeline. MagPie believes in total transparency which I think is good. Your followers should know that you are sending ads. It’s only fair. Get the scoop on MagPie. This is probably my top favorite ways to make money on Twitter at the moment.

By using both of these programs, you can make some cash just by tweeting. As long as your responsible and not spammy – you can benefit and your followers can get worthwhile info and not be annoyed. This is fine line. Don’t get greedy and just send out every ad
you’re offered. Look them over, read the ad and see if it’s something that really might be interesting to your followers. If you have all gardening followers, don’t send them ad tweets on designer finger nail tips?? See what I mean? Makes NO sense. I don’t care if the nail tip advertiser is gonna pay you $10 for that tweet – you have to think of your followers too.

So both MagPie and Sponsored Tweets are super easy it set up and begin using. Very self explanatory when you log in. You can be set up and going in less than 5 minutes. Even less time if you already have a Twitter account and some followers. As far as ways to make money on Twitter, these are two of the easiest that I have I come across and I’ve been researching it for a few months now. I’ve seen other programs – but just not ready to jump on them until I see some improvement in their operating system. It’s not that they suck outright – I just feel they have some kinks to work out and then I’ll certainly see if they sufficient ways to make money on Twitter.

I’m always looking around for other ways to make money online and Twitter of course is no exception. Every penny you can make online goes into your change jar and we all know that enough change adds up. I get comments from people now and then that are kinda mean – they’ll say things like….”I’m not gonna sign up for something just to make 3 cents a day!” Well then don’t!! At the end of the month I’ll have .90 cents or more from my stupid online program and you’ll have ZERO. Easy as that.

It all does add up. I’ve said this for years. You can earn online and make enough to reduce debt, buy a car, pay for college….whatever.
We own two cars out right. Owe nothing on them and we were able to put a substantial down payment on a new one this year for me – because we gave our oldest car to my son who just started driving. This was all done with my “online money”. I enjoy making money online and if there are ways to make money with Twitter – you bet, I’m on it!! LOL

Why pass up an opportunity to make another $10-$20 or more a month. That’s $240 a year or more. Add that to several other programs and you find yourself making several thousand dollars a year and you paid no gas money, no lunches, no fru-fru clothes, no commute stress….and you’re home for your kids on the days they are sick etc.

Making most of the time you spend online can pay off, literally. And even if in the end, you decide…”this sucks….not doing it” – you’ve lost nothing but maybe a few minutes signing up for a free program. You would spend more time digging through the couch cushions in your house for loose change….so why not check it out?
