Connect and Sell Full Review and Information

Most business owners and CEOs would agree that making sales calls and getting in contact with the people you need to in order to generate more business is not as easy as it used to be. Voicemail, gatekeepers, complex phone systems and many other reasons can keep an effective sales staff from reaching their targets.

But what if there was a way of beating the system, so to speak? And what if you could work from home helping companies make these calls so that they do not waste time doing it themselves? That is the goal of Connect and Sell — an online system that provides live conversations to their customer’s sales, support and service teams.

What is Connect and Sell?

Connect and Sell is a combination of online software, telephony-switching technology and live agents that work in unison to initiate phone calls and get through the barriers that often exist when trying to reach a business contact. (See my post, Online Customer Service Jobs for a big list of even more customer support positions and companies that offer work at home.)

The company knows how to navigate these barriers so that their customers can engage in a live conversation with the prospect and/or customer they want to reach. ConnectandSell guarantees at least five live conversations per hour with the contacts that companies are trying to reach. If they do not meet this figure, their customers do not have to pay for their services.

Where do the remote agents come into play?

As a work-at-home agent for Connect and Sell, you would use their routing system to make/receive outbound calls in trying to get the required contact on the phone. Once you get them, you then transfer the call to someone on the ConnectandSell customer’s sales staff.

You never speak directly to the contact but rather make the call and the connection for them. This is a tremendous help to companies who do not have to waste valuable time making calls after calls and not getting anyone. Now, with your assistance, they can get directly on the phone with the appropriate person and pitch their product.

What do you need to become a Connect and Sell agent?

There are a few requirements if you choose to become an agent for ConnectandSell. The first thing you need is a high-speed Internet and either Windows 7 or Windows Vista. You can use either a PC or a laptop. As old-fashioned as it may sound, you will also need a landline phone since voiceover Internet protocol (VOIPs) and cellphones are not permitted. However, your landline phone cannot have any features like call waiting, call forwarding or voicemail.

In addition to the equipment you need, there are also a few qualifications that you must have in order to be an agent with ConnectandSell. First and foremost, you need to have excellent phone manners and be highly professional in your communication skills. You will also need to be proficient in English, have superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and can work in a fast-paced environment.

You should also have the ability to multi-task. While no previous call center experience is necessary, you do need at least one year experience in either an administrative or secretarial role. As far as education goes, some college is preferred.

What kind of schedule can you expect working as a ConnectandSell agent?

The company does not have a specific amount of required hours they want you to work, but they do prefer that you work when you can and when you are asked. Those working on the east coast can work between eight o’clock in the morning and eight o’clock in the evening.

Agents on the east coast are three or four hours ahead of the rest of the country. Generally, agents log into their account and schedule themselves on a daily basis. The hours are posted first thing in the morning. The number of available hours can vary from a full day to only a few hours a day.

What kind of pay can you expect from Connect and Sell?

The hourly rate is $9, but can go as high as ten or eleven dollars when you factor in your commission. And for every good “connect” or lead that you create, you will get an additional dollar. For this reason, you want to make every “connect” count so that you make more money. Some agents have made $100 or more a month just from commissions. You also get paid for lunches and breaks. You can expect a weekly payment through PayPal so you need to have a PayPal account when you sign on as an agent.

Does Connect and Sell only use agents in the United States?

No. The company has agents in North America, Europe and Asia which means most time zones are covered which is a tremendous help to companies who have global reach or are looking to expand their business overseas.

The Bottom Line on ConnectandSell

ConnectandSell frees up the time for sales staffs so that they do not waste countless hours trying to reach a contact or prospective customer. Many businesses often lose productivity because so much time is spent on the phone either on hold, leaving messages or just trying to reach an actual person through a phone system that takes them around in circles.

Rather than doing that day in and day out, Connect and Sell gives these salespeople the opportunity to use their expertise on better-suited tasks like promoting the product or service they are trying to sell or helping to develop whatever it is they are selling.

As far as agents go, this work-at-home opportunity is a good one and can easily be done from home without needing much equipment or experience. However, while you can earn a decent additional income, it is probably not likely to ever become a full-time job as the available working hours are unpredictable and often fluctuate. But if you are just looking to make a little extra money, Connect and Sell has a reputation for being one of the better at-home work opportunities with a very reputable company.

On Glassdoor, the company has a rating of 3.3 out of 5 stars. As well, it shows Hourly Agents making $9 an hour as I stated above.

They don't have an online application process, they do have an email address to send resumes to, which you can find here.
