Typist Jobs Include Data Entry
One of the most common career paths for people who are expert typists is to look for jobs in data entry. If you have ever worked in this field, you can probably already guess that there is a great need for anyone who can quickly enter data into a computer. But it is not just about entering data into a computer database or program. A quality that you must also possess is accuracy.
There are many jobs in data entry where it is important that every piece of information that you move from one place to another is typed incorrectly. While it may not seem like a big deal if a word is occasionally misspelled, there can be dire consequences if something is not typed incorrectly. Any kind of entry relating to the medical field will require extra special care so that personal information does not get into the wrong hands.

The medical field is not the only area where you will be able to find jobs in data entry. As a matter of fact, there are plenty of jobs in data entry in almost any field you can think of. Another thing you may be surprised to learn is that you can even do this type of job from home. While not every company is able to offer their employees the chance to work from home, it may be worth asking when you are interviewing with prospective employers.

Since typing is a large part of this kind of job, it is a great fit for those who can type correspondence quickly as well as those who are able to transcribe minutes from meetings or other documentation. Though being a receptionist or secretary includes more than simply typing, it can be a large part of the job depending on many different factors. One of the things that will affect how much typing you will do as a secretary is the industry that you are working.
