Snag Gift Cards When You Answer Questions? Yep!

The world is full of people who have questions they would like to get answered. Help Owl is a great place to turn to for those answers. Right now, it seems like the internet has a surplus of these information providing websites, but I prefer the way that Help Owl is set up over sites like Yahoo Answers. As soon as you open up the site’s homepage, you’ll see exactly how to enter your question. It’s very simple and straightforward, plus it offers a money making opportunity if you enjoy answering questions.

The Types of Questions You Can Expect

Answer Questions Online

The type of questions that Help Owl receives run the gauntlet from highly technical to just plain silly, but answering questions might not be the only thing you do for the company. They also have freelancers who do things like review companies, provide product manuals, and other interesting tasks. The more active you are on the site and the more of your answers you provide that get flagged as helpful, the more interesting the work will become.

Payments at Help Owl

I’ll admit, when I first learned about Help Owl, I was a little skeptical about whether or not it could be considered a good resource for individuals who wanted to make extra money working at home. They use a point system, I prefer to earn cash that I can use to pay my bills. However, my attitude changed when I discovered that one of the things I could get from my redeemed points was Amazon gift cards. They won’t help pay for my utilities, but at least I can use the gift cards to purchase gifts, shoes, books, and even food. (Another cool thing to check out is, iRazoo. You can earn Amazon gift cards and cash just by using their search engine.)

Don’t expect to get your Amazon gift card right away. In order to earn a $10 gift card, you’ll need to receive 50,000 points. That seems like a lot compared to similar sights, but when you look a little closer at the amount of points Help Owl is willing to hand out per task complete, it’s clear that they’re actually a bit more generous than some other information providing services. If you’re the first person to answer a question, you’ll receive 1,000 points, 10 points will be added if it’s marked helpful. If you review a company, you can expect to receive 750 points. If you ask a question, you’ll earn 50 points. They add up fairly quickly.

While I don’t think you should make Help Owl your primary source of work at home income, I think it’s a fun website and you should register and answer questions whenever you have a little time on your hands or need to take a break from other projects. This one is a fun side gig that could add up to some extra “fun money” over time. My plan is to use my Help Owl points to get Amazon gift cards and then spend them to buy Christmas gifts for my children.

Have you tried Help Owl yet? How has your experience been so far? I'd love input from others and I am sure readers and visitors would as well. I'd love for this to be the best resource and sharing your experience or any info is always welcome!
