Make Money At Home With Pickydomains

PickyDomains

What is Pickydomains.com?

On the surface, this seems like it would be a great way for a creative person to earn a little extra money while working at home. The company wants creative names that it can use for domain names and they’re willing to pay you to come up with them. It’s different and has the potential to be lots of fun.

In addition to domain names, the company is also looking for slogans.

Pickydomains Perks

The great thing about this company is that you really don’t have anything to lose. It will only take you a few minutes to get registered and the company doesn’t ask you to pay them anything. This is always a good thing. Lately, it seems like I’m running into lots of companies who want people to pay a fee just for the privilege of working for them.

I was really impressed with the earning potential of this site. If one of the names I created was selected (I’ve no idea who's shopping for these names), I earn 40-60% which can amount to about $30. Everyone who works at home knows that’s a lot of money for very little work. The company pays via PayPal.

The company promises that they always have some work available.

The good news is that I’ve spoken to some writers who’ve used the site and although they haven’t gotten rich, they’ve had some of their names purchased and the company was very good about payments.

Pickydomains Cons

I’ve only just signed up for Pickydomains.com but I do have a few worries. The biggest comes from the fact that I’ve talked to a few people who have had all of the names they submitted get rejected. This wouldn’t bother me too much, it happens, but the same people said that they also submitted a huge number of names and never heard anything back from the website. What this tells me is that I should proceed with caution and only submit a few names at a time.

Final Thoughts on Pickydomains

I think this looks like a great place to submit some work whenever I feel a little brain dead or need a temporary change of pace, but I’m not going to go out of my way to do lots of work for them. It is a legit website and I think it has the potential to be fun. Get started by going here.

I won several contests in 2017 and I was never paid. I also got questions from other users indicating that they had not gotten paid, either. Is the website defunct?

  2. After getting the lead from another work from home website, I have been submitting names for several weeks and many of my names have been liked by clients. I also rose in the ranks to level 3 with a 50% commission, and have $2.15 in my account. Just letting you know that I have sent emails, about an important issue, to admin 3 times and have never received a response.

Since I want to use my rejected names for my own purposes, I wanted to be sure that no one at PD or affiliated with the site is taking those names and using them in some way. I wrote with an explanation of this and asked what is the policy and practice of the site. When I got no response, I wrote a second time with a reminder about my first email and stating that if I did not get a response I would not submit any more names. Finally I had to write a third time, because no one has responded, and let them know that I would not be submitting to the site anymore. I’m selling my naming services at Fiverr now.

I don’t do business with anyone who does not answer emails. Anyone who takes an excessive amount of time to respond goes on my watch list. As a businessperson, I am devoted to answering emails ASAP. Even if I don’t have an answer, I respond to let the person know that I’ve received their communication. I promise to get back with them by a certain time, or say I will keep them posted.

As an aside, I also submitted a few names to Naming Force, but don’t care for their method of operation. I don’t submit there anymore either.
