Blog for Families.com and Get Paid
If you like to write and have a knack for creating blog posts, you should take a look at Families.com. For the past few years, I’ve been using the site to help supplement my work at home income, and I have to say, I couldn’t be happier
What is Families.com?
Families.com is a company that owns a series, approximately 30, blogs which they’re constantly updating. All of their blogs have a family and healthy living theme. The company relies on freelance contractors with excellent writing skills to create the blog posts.
What are the Blogs Like?
Families.com has an entire set of blog topics that you can choose from. The list is quite extensive so you’re bound to find something you’re already knowledgeable about, reducing the amount of time you have to spend on research. Some of the available topics include:
• Frugal living
• Caring for a home and garden
• Fun things to do with the family
After you’ve selected a topic, you simply sit down and create a blog post. Each post must be at least 300 words long.
In addition to writing the blog post, you will be responsible for managing the post as well. This includes interacting with the commenters and also deleting any spam comments. The process can be lots of fun and very interesting. It’s also a great way to make some new internet friends.
Applying to Families.com
Becoming a blogger for Families.com isn’t easy, mostly because they only have a limited number of positions available, and there isn’t a very high turnover rate. The company is always willing to accept applications and when they do have a position open up, they’ll look over the applications currently on file, and choose the writer they feel will be the best fit for their existing team of writers. If Families.com thinks that you’re the most qualified person for the job, they will invite you to take part in their 90 day training period.
The one downside to Families.com is that the pay is low. The company currently pays $4.00 per blog post, which doesn’t seem like much, but when you consider that some of the freelancers post about 100 posts each month, it’s easy to see how it can give your work at home income a serious boost. The company does offer periodical raises, which are currently capped at $5.50.
If you like writing, I urge you to turn in your application to Families.com. If your application gets accepted, I think you’ll enjoy working for this fantastic company.
