Being an Executive Virtual Assistant for Red Butler $12-$15 hr
Be a Virtual Assistant for Red Butler and Work From Home
It sounds easy enough, right? The internet has made working for someone thousands of miles away a non-issue. I've been writing and researching about work at home since 1999 — and I've been online since 1992. Oh my goodness — I'm telling my age! But the point is…. there is so much opportunity growth for those that want to work at home. And I mean, REALLY work at home. Actual careers.
That being said, Red Butler offers a wonderful opportunity to be an executive virtual assistant. They are based in Beverly Hill, California. And they've actually been around for quite some time – since 2003. So lots of experience.
What Would an Executive Virtual Assistant Be Doing?
It's doubtful your job would be to sit at a desk and do data entry for hours at a time. Nor answering the phone for hours on end. Though, it could. More likely it will be a variety of things to help free up the time for the busy executive you're working for.
So by variety…. you mean?
Well – lots of things. Many execs need helping planning travel, personal shopping (even comparison shopping), having SEO work done — and of course, typical “office” help — like typing up documents, researching or even doing organization tasks.
They've got a list of all the services they provide – so you can get a good idea of everything it encompasses:
Email
– Checking inbox, replying to queries
Calendar
– Keeping their Google calendar organized and client contact info easily accessible
Call
– Answering calls, forwarding calls, taking messages
Travel
-Basically an awesome concierge that helps find great rates, create itineraries
Research
– Compile a list of contacts, conduct a competitive analysis, compile a list of relevant articles, research vendor quotes and much more.
Expenses
– Organize your receipts, fill out reimbursement forms or generate spreadsheets
Documents
– Proposals, spreadsheets, blogs and documents proofread and enhanced
Marketing
– Support social media and marketing initiatives
And much much more.
Red Butler is becoming very popular because they not only assign one dedicated contact person to each client – but they can also tap into an entire team of talented workers that can help them with a specific project, general stuff… just depends. If you've been a virtual assistant before and really like being a dedicated assistant and working with that one client, this will be very different. Because you will be part of a team.
The job posts for Red Butler that I have seen online offer anywhere form $12 to $15 an hour. I assume the assignment complexity and your experience and skillset will play into the rate of pay.

@Michelle
Thanks for letting us know. I’ll research this some more to see exactly why they are charging this fee.
Just to let you know, they charge a monthly fee to work for Red Butler. I don’t consider that a company that charges you to work for them to be legitimate. Just sayin’.
