Babbletype Review – A Legit At Home Transcription Job?

Babbletype Review

Consider Working for Babbletype

Babbletype is currently hiring for a variety of positions, but the most promising opportunities are in transcription and editing. This company is pretty popular among the work at home population so the hiring process is quite competitive. (There are many more opportunities to look over though, see my list of online transcription jobs and companies.)

Landing a Job

You shouldn’t expect that the hiring process will be quick. Based on what most of their contractors are saying, it takes some time to land a position. Babbletype promises their clients high-quality transcription work and they want to make sure that the transcribers they hire will be able to deliver. The company gives everyone a chance and uses tests to assess potential transcriptionists to determine who will be a good fit. These preliminary tests are extensive and can take up to three hours to complete. Give yourself plenty of time.

Unfortunately, you won’t be paid for the time you devote to the application process. But if you land the job, it will be time well spent.

Pros

BabbleType is known for their professionalism. They treat their employees with respect and provide them with steady work. They offer payments via Paypal on a weekly basis so that is much more convenient than waiting for biweekly or monthly checks.

Cons

While some people report finding really good paying jobs via Babbletype, others complain that the higher paying gigs are few and far between. Most of the work that’s currently available is in the lower pay range. You will have to be willing to work on some low paying tasks when high paying jobs are not available, but if you just need some form of work, it’s a pretty great opportunity.

Final Thoughts

Babbletype is a legit source of work at home income, but it’s not going to be for everyone. I do think it’s a great starting point for anyone who is looking for work at home opportunities. You’ll make a little money and gain all sorts of experience. You can start the application process or learn more here.
