Accentus Review and Details
Accentus is a company that has been around for a while and provides individuals with an opportunity to make money at home doing medical transcription work. The company has ties to medical professionals in both the United States and Canada. They’re primary focus is looking for ways that the cost of medicine can be lowered.
Features I Really Like About Accentus
It has been a few years since I checked out Accentus, but when I first started doing transcription work for the company, I was really impressed by how professional they were. I was also pleased that they had set things up so my schedule was truly flexible. If I had an hour to spare, I could do some transcription work, and during busy weeks, I didn’t have to worry about finding time to complete work for Accentus. After working for a few transcription companies that wanted to lock me into a set number of hours each weeks, having the freedom to choose how much I worked was nice.
Another feature I really liked about Accentus, is that they never asked me to wait for a paycheck. The money I’d earned was always available exactly when they said it would be.
I also appreciated that the company had created some opportunities for its freelance contractors to earn some bonuses.
The main reason I have not continued to work for Accentus is because they simply don’t pay enough to justify my time. This was the case when I checked them out a when I first heard about them. A few months ago, a friend and I were speaking of work at home opportunities and she mentioned that she’d recently stopped dealing with the company after they slashed the amount of money they were willing to pay their transcribers. The fact that the company has also switched hands a few ties over the past few years is also a little concerning.
Accentus does provide a legit work at home opportunity. Even though I feel that the company should be ashamed of the low wages they’re willing to pay, I’m not going to completely write of Accentus just yet. There are several companies out there that are willing to pay fair compensation to individuals who want to do transcription work but won’t hire anyone who doesn’t have any experience. If you okay with the idea of not making much money for a few months, Accentus could be a great way to gain the experience you need to get a higher paying job.
