What You Need to Know About Language Line

Depending on the job you are assigned to, you might get paid weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. All payments are made by check or direct deposit. In order to work for Language Line, you’ll need a dedicated phone line and cell phones or internet numbers won’t work. The hours you work will also vary by project. Some former employees reported working normal business hours, but others said more flexible hours were available because the company takes calls 24/7. No matter what hours you end up working, you’ll be paid to go through training and this is completed over the phone. Training time can take several weeks. While doing research, I found that many interpreter jobs from home require some span of training — so expect that.
