Wordfirm Review – Editing Jobs From Home

Wordfirm Editing Jobs

Everything I’ve Learned About Wordfirm

Although they don’t always have positions available, anyone with decent editing skills should keep an eye on Wordfirm Inc. It’s a legit company who occasionally needs to add an independent contractor they can add to their team of talented editors. The company has been around since 1996 and has an excellent reputation for treating both it’s independent contractors and clients with the utmost respect.

Clients who send items to Wordfirm report that the company does an excellent job of generating excellent results and having a fantastic turnaround time. The company is officially based in Washington D.C. but they work with clients and independent contractors from all over the world. (I've got a big list of online editing and proofreading jobs that you might want to look over as well.)

How Does Working for Wordfirm Work?

The way that Wordfirm currently has things set up, their independent contractors are truly independent. If you get accepted into their team of professionals you’ll work from your home office. The company does look for individuals who have advanced their education and obtained a college degree. A minimum of five year’s experience is another thing they look for when sorting through applicants.

Even if you’re not an editor, it doesn’t hurt to check out Wordfirm Inc. In addition to editors, they also like to use independent contractors that have other skills as well, including:

• Graphic design
• Writing
• Indexing

If you get accepted into Wordfirm as an editor, the type of work you’ll edit can vary a great deal from one project to the next. The company accepts projects that range from long and complicated manuscripts to simple one page flyers.

The Application Process for Editor Positions

The Wordfirm application process isn’t difficult. It won’t take you long to fill out. The information they ask for on the application isn’t all that different from what you’d see on any other applications you fill out. You will have to provide information about your professional life, the type of education you’ve received, and what your areas of interest are. The company also wants to know approximately how many hours a week you’ll be able to work for them. Make sure you answer each answer honestly. You should be able to complete the application in less than twenty minutes.

After filling out Wordfirm’s application, you shouldn’t sit around waiting for a response. Start checking out and applying for other work at home opportunities. Wordfirm is honest about the fact that it could be some time before they respond. What they will do is hang onto your information and if they see a place on their team where you would be a good fit, they’ll get in touch.

While I haven’t done any work for Wordfirm, I hope that will change in the future. The company has an excellent reputation and provides freelance contractors with an excellent opportunity. From what I’ve heard from people who already work for the company, there’s a steady amount of work available. Wordfirm is part of Managed Editing.

I would like more information about the ” wordfirm” program, please. I have a bachelors degree in English, with a minor in psychology. I have been looking for a legitimate home-based job for quite some time. Please get back with me if you think this could be beneficial to myself as well as WordPress. I appreciate your time.
    Sincerely,
