Moderator Opportunities Available at Crisp Thinking

Crisp Thinking is a company that handles all kinds of social interaction for companies so that their clients can worry about other things. The company has a very impressive client list which solidifies their legitimacy. This list includes well-known companies like:

• Pottermore
• Sea World
• Moshi Monsters
• MTV

In late July, I first started to hear about this company because they had started to look for individuals who were interested in making money while working at home. Although I don’t have a great deal of information about the company at this point, I have applied to work for them and am getting excited about the opportunity. From everything I’ve seen and heard, not only is this company legit, but it also seems like they’re very professional and organized. I have high hopes that they’ll pay a reasonable wage and provide fun and interesting work opportunities. (See my post, Social Media Jobs From Home for more jobs like this. Or you might also want to read over, Online Moderator Jobs too for even more great options.)

The Type of Work You’ll Be Doing

According to everything I’ve seen posted, it looks like Crisp Thinking is looking for individuals who are willing to help them moderate the social media accounts the company manages. It’s likely that this means you’ll be in charge of responding to commenters, watching for spam, alerting shift managers to problems that are starting to escalate. As well, paying attention to changing trends on a specific website, identifying positive and negative posters, and creating reports about their observations which will be submitted to shift managers.

One of the things that I saw posted on a work at home forum stated that the company needed people who could identify the players of online games who were cheating. Another responsibility would be identifying behavioral markers of adults who lurking on sites meant for kids.

I have no idea if working as a moderatorhas the potential to lead to other, higher paying positions in the company. According to Glassdoor, they have a 4.3 rating. They also state that CrispThinking's “Risk Analysts” average pay is $14-$16 an hour.

The Type of Work at Home Contractors Crisp Thinking is Seeking

Crisp Thinking has been pretty clear about the type of freelance contractors they’re looking for. They want people who are clever, self-starting, and who enjoy social media. The company gives preference to individuals who already have moderation experience but will provide training if necessary. Strong communication skills, the ability to notice little details and recognize patterns, and common sense are qualities Crisp Thinking is looking for. Applicants must have a reliable broadband internet connection and have a personal computer. The oldest operating system Crisp Thinking will accept is Windows 7.
