My Recipe Magic Allows Moms At Home to Make a Little Cash

Some people manage to come up with the coolest ideas to help earn money from home. My Recipe Magic is a perfect example. It provides anyone who loves to share their favorite recipes with an opportunity to do just that while also supplementing a work at home opportunity.

My First Impressions of My Recipe Magic

I freely admit that when I first heard about My Recipe Magic I had some concerns. The entire situation seemed just a little too easy. I was sure that it either had to be a scam, or that I would never see a penny. Still, I decided to give it a go and see what happened. I figured that if it worked, great! If it didn’t, at least I could warn people about the problems and save them the hassle.

How You Make Money with Your Recipes

Once you have entered one of your favorite recipes into the database, it immediately has the potential to start earning money. The site creators estimate that each recipe should earn about $3 a month, and will continue to earn money as long it remains active on the site.

The recipes I have posted don’t earn quite that much money, but I don’t do much to promote them. Payments get made, through PayPal. I haven’t had any problems getting paid promptly. (I've got a post, Earn Extra Cash and Gift Cards Right Now that has a list of more sites you might want to check out.)

An Added Bonus

If you’re a blogger, you can use My Recipe Magic to increase your search engine ranking and increase traffic to your blog. All you have to do is make sure you include a link to your blog each time you post a recipe.

Getting Recipes

I have a confession to make. I don’t post nearly as many recipes on My Recipe Magic as I probably should, but I’m on the site at least three or four times a week. The site has been beautifully organized and finding new and interesting recipes is a piece of cake. Anyone who has used Pinterest will have no trouble navigating the site and finding all sorts of recipes. My biggest challenge is choosing just one or two recipes I want to try out. I enjoy perusing the posted recipes so much that whenever I log into my account, I have to set an alarm or else I can lose an entire afternoon reading one recipe after another and dreaming about a day when I’ll be able to prepare them.

My Recipe Magic also has a fantastic create a menu feature that I use whenever I need to plan a big family meal for the holidays.

Down Side

The only complaint I have with regards to My Recipe Magic is the length of time it takes to upload one of my recipes to the site. When I first started to use the program, the process took a great deal of time. Now that I’m used to how things work, I have cut the upload time in half, but it still takes between 5 and 10 minutes to complete the process.

If you haven’t already checked out My Recipe Magic, you should make it one of your top priorities. You’ll be glad you did! Get started here.

  1. Hello. Thank you very much for this article, it was very helpfull. But, where exactly can I fill out my PayPal information so that they can pay me after that? I was looking everywhere but couldn’t really find it. Or should I email them?
    Thank you

  2. Thank you for this article!
I signed up for myrecipemagic a few months ago and applied to become a chef at that time as well.
Unfortunately I never heard from them. And I have never been approved as a chef. I have posted quite a few recipes by now, and I am not earning any money. I don’t even have a earnings statistic appearing on the dashboard.
I have commented on their sixsistersstuff site, I have emailed them 3 times by now and heard nothing. I must admit I feel it’s a bit scammy when they promise something and then don’t stick up with it. Especially when I have unable to reach contact with them! Hopefully I am the only one with this experience. But I would still enjoy if they would at least reply my emails.
