Guest Posts and Sponsored Posts
Keeping it real — I receive at least 4-5 requests A DAY inquiring about accepting guest posts or sponsored posts here at MoneyMakingMommy.
Because I cannot keep up with all these requests, I've created this page to help those interested get answers and proceed with their request if the criteria is met.
Of course, if there is something not answered here — or if something needs clarification — please don't hesitate to reach out. But I feel I have covered everything.
1. Do you accept guest posts or sponsored posts?
Answer: YES
2. What is the criteria for these guest and sponsored posts?
Answer:
A. They have to be on topic with this blog's niche. That means it needs to be about working from home, making money from home and/or saving money. Don't email me asking to post off my niche.
B. The content must be original and unique to my site. If you're taking one article/post and spinning it or trying to spam it on several blogs — nope. Not interested. We all know the rules on duplicate content. I don't want that stuff on my site.
C. Must be written in native English.
D. If you want a DOFOLLOW link – then this falls in the SPONSORED category. There is no free lunch. And not only will it be marked as sponsored, it will need to be paid for as well. I reserve the right to refuse any content. The cost for a DOFOLLOW LINK is $300 per year, billed annually. If it's not renewed, it's removed. Period.
E. Sponsored/Guest Posts are checked frequently. If the link is redirected or changed or the link no longer works, it will be removed. If the link leads to a virus, malware or anything sketchy… removed.
F. The post/article most be well written and at least 500 words.
G. I'm happy to allow bio/author info at the bottom of the post, but if you want a link in that bio — that is SPONSORED and will cost $300 per year, billed annually. If not renewed, it is removed.
None of these are outrageous criteria. They are common sense. I'm basically saying… content needs to be unique, well-written and on topic. What blogger doesn't want that? As well — I've spent 20 years on this blog and I'm not just gonna smack your content and links on here for free. Of course, I would love to have your unique piece on my site and give you exposure — but I've honestly gotten to a point where I'm no longer just handing out exposure. Plus, a sponsored post is an ad in the eyes of Google. And it must be approached with as such.
Again — none of this is harsh or out of the ordinary. I'm trying to save YOUR time and MINE by just answering all the questions up front.
