Extra Cash to Be Extra Eyes for WeGoLook

Running errands is just an ordinary part of life.  Every week, I drag myself to the grocery store, the dry cleaners, the pharmacy, and the bank.  While I don’t particularly enjoy these weekly errands, I would definitely feel better about them if I was getting paid.  That’s why I was pretty excited when I ran across WeGoLook.com.

We Go Look gives you the chance to make money while you are out doing errands. Basically, you apply for a position as a “looker”, and as the name implies, “looking” is the main requirement of the job.  What are some examples of what a “looking” job involves?

“Looking” Example #1

Suppose you wanted to buy a car on Craigslist or from another online auction site or perhaps just from a dealership located out-of-state.  It is only reasonable that you would want to know a bit more about the car before you make a purchase that big, and since you are located out of state there is no way that you can actually go and check the car out.  At that point, you contact We Go Look and the company could send out one of its “lookers” to go give the car a once over and then report back to you.  The looker can check the car out, provide you with pictures, and send you a report.  You could then decide whether you want to purchase the car or not. (You might also want to check out Amazon Flex Jobs. Create your own flexible schedule. You are simply delivery orders to Amazon customers.

“Looking” Example #2

It is time for a vacation and you are looking for possible locations.  You come across a vacation home available for a great price, but you would like to know more about the home before you decide to go through with the deal.  Before you put the deposit down you could contact We Go Look and have them send out a looker to examine the vacation home and report back to you.  You could again have the looker take pictures, ask specific questions, and send a report back to you.  This will allow you to put down your deposit on the vacation home with confidence.

What Are Lookers Paid?

Assignments start at $25 and the pay rates go up from there.  Lookers can be paid in a number of ways: through PayPal, check, or ACH deposits.  It is important to remember that lookers are not generally reimbursed for their mileage, and with the ever-fluctuating gas prices this is a key consideration to keep in mind before accepting an assignment.

Do I Need Experience?

Another great thing about working for We Go Look is that it requires no previous experience in any particular field.  For example, if your assignment is to check out a car, it does not require that you have any previous mechanical experience.  You will basically only be required to physically go to the location and take a look.  The only requirement is a background check before you are hired.

Accepting Assignments

Many applicants wonder if they will be required to accept all of the assignments that they receive, especially since the company does not reimburse for mileage.  While you are not required to accept every assignment that you receive, if you do accept an assignment you are expected to complete it within 48 hours.

As with most jobs you do from home, you will be an independent contractor if you are hired to work for We Go Look.  When you fill out your reports after an assignment, you send them to We Go Look.  You never report directly to the customer.  There is never any need to directly contact the person who hired your services.  Any photos that you take and reports that you send go directly to We Go Look and they handle all dealings with the individual who requested the “looking” services.

Identifying Yourself To Sellers

If you are hired as a looker, it is important that you identify yourself correctly when going to look at an item.  Representatives for We Go Look are referred to as “WeGoLookers” or simply “Lookers”.  We Go Look representatives should never refer to themselves by any other occupation when they go to look at an item.

Verifying An Item Is In Working Order

Quite often as part of an assignment you will have to verify that an item is in working order.  When verifying that an electrical or mechanical item is working, you just have to check the most basic functions.  It’s not complicated at all!  Let's highlight a few examples:

*   High-end stereo – If you were asked to check out a high-end stereo you would only need to verify a few things.  You need to make sure that the stereo can power up.  After that you could ask the seller to play a CD for a few minutes to make sure the CD player works.  You could also ask the seller to tune to a few stations on the radio to make sure that the speakers worked properly.

*   Watch – When checking out a watch you would need to make sure that the basic mechanical features worked.  You should make sure that the watch appears to keep time accurately based on observing it for a few minutes, and if the watch has a second hand it should be moving properly. You would also check to make sure that the band or bracelet latch the watch securely around the wrist. There would be no need to actually open the case to observe the inner workings of the watch.

*  Vehicle – The basic steps when checking vehicles are to make sure that the engine starts and that the basic electrical options are in working order.  You will not need to test drive the car or even ride as a passenger during a test drive.

Taking Pictures and Processing Reports

The pictures that you take as a looker will be used to make important decisions about buying the item, so it is crucial that you take clear pictures of any chips, cracks, dents, or other defects.  Dirty or stained upholstery in a vehicle needs to be documented with pictures.  When you need to arrange an appointment to see an item, the first attempt to seller must occur within four business hours of receiving an assignment.  All observations must be completed within 48 hours of receiving an assignment, and all photos and reports must be completed within 8 hours of making the observation.

A Couple of Thoughts on Safety

We Go Look seems like a good option for those looking to make a bit of extra money in their spare time.  However, I have one hesitation after looking at the different opportunities it provides.  You will need to use a little common sense to stay safe as a looker.  I think it is especially important to use caution when checking out items from Craigslist.

Just to be safe, always arrange to meet in a public place.  If that isn’t possible, take someone with you and be sure you have your phone on hand.  Just be cautious and use your discretion when choosing which tasks you will take.

The Bottom Line on WeGoLook.com

If you are looking for a way to make money in your spare time, We Go Look is a great choice.  You can also fit in “looking” jobs while you are out doing errands.  This is a great way to capitalize on your time. With pay starting at $25 per job, it’s definitely worth a try!
