I work at home. I have a full time freelance writing career and my blog. Oh — and not to mention…I've got two kids, two cats and a husband. And — my husband works/lives three hours away for the better part of every month. So — you guessed it, the majority of cooking, cleaning, yard work, kid stuff…. pet stuff… you name it – falls on me.

I don't have time to leisurely wander the mall or any other store looking for cute clothes. I do use StitchFix — and it's been wonderful. I have my StitchFix scheduled to be delivered 4 times a year. Basically seasonally. And even then, each box contains only 5 items. So if I don't send anything back, that's 20 items a year. But I typically send anywhere from 1-3 items back. So less than 20 pieces of clothing, or shoes or jewelry a year. That's not a ton. So I wanted to find another way to shop from home. But I am always looking for a business/income angle too. (What can I say — the entrepreneur inside my brain is very loud! lol)

Direct Sales Fashion is Hot, Hot, Hot

Fashion is very popular in direct sales — but finding one that I “loved” — was not happening. And many that I kinda liked — didn't last long. So here come TuVous.

The clothes are very cute. I am a t-shirt and jeans girl. Even at 50, that's what I like to wear. I like to look young and fresh — but not like a try-hard. I KNOW I'm not 25. But I'm also not ready elastic waistband khakis and frumpy grandma tops.

Now — unlike typical direct sales companies — this one works a little different. You don't have catalogs or carry stock or have parties. Nope. None of that. This is a commission based (like all direct sales) opportunity, but you're simply referring others and earning on their orders. What do you earn? A big ole whopping 50%! And even with handing you 50%, they still give 10% to charity. Their cut is the 40% left over — and they have to cover all costs with that and cover the merchandise. So it's honestly VERY much in favor of the referrers (or affiliates).

Now — the best part in my opinion, you're earning that 50% by sharing adorable clothes, helping in the breast cancer cause AND you can use your earnings to buy some cute stuff yourself if you want to! Sweet!! Now — their selection at this time is somewhat limited, but because of the casual vibe of what they do offer — I think there is something for everyone.
