Are
you moving? Do you know someone moving? A new home is a very exciting and
stressful time for anyone. The tradition of having a house warming party can be
a welcome festivity in many ways for the new home owners and their friends and
family.
No matter the circumstance of the move - give thoughtful consideration into
having your own house warming party, or if you're a friend of the "mover" --
it's positively fabulous to surprise that friend or family with a special
party. It doesn't have to be elaborate at all.
It's good to have one person as the "go to guy" when planning the party, so that
duplicate gifts and food items don't happen.
You'll want to make sure for the most part, that new home is pretty much
"unpacked" and squared away. No sense trying to have a party amidst chaos! That
won't be fun for the new home owners or the party goers!
It's good to let everyone know the decor, needed items or "wants" for the new
home owners. Though - I can't imagine anyone being TOO picky. After all, it's
about caring and welcoming -- not what gifts you walk away with.
