Moms: Take Fun Polls, Participate, Earn Points = PRIZES!
Mommy Polls is a fun, active and helpful site…. especially for new mommies. I think many of us with brand new babies reach for books, advice from relatives and now… more than ever – other moms on the internet that have been there, done that. I realize that sometimes the internet can be overwhelming and you can have info overload – but when you're a new parent, or going through a stage in your child's life that's difficult or confusing – reaching out to others can be, if anything… comforting. It takes a village… right?
There Are Lots of “Mommy” Sites – Why MommyPolls?
Yes – it's true — there are 1000's of great mom sites out there. I can think of five wonderful ones just off the top of my head. But how about one that rewards you with points – and these points can be turned into dinner! Indeed.
From what I can tell right now – you can earn points many ways on the site. And I know a lot of folks are hesitant when it comes to spending time on “point earning” sites – but I promise you – many of them are worth your time. Points vary from 5 to 45 for activities and they range from voting, to commenting to asking and answering questions.
So not only are you earning points – you're creating a community of helpful, insightful information and a wonderful good energy vibe. So – hey… why not jump in?
Specifically – What Exactly Do The Points Earn?
From what I have read so far – and this could change as MommyPolls grows – but you can redeem your points for Restaurant.com gift cards. I can tell you first hand – these are amazing. I used to be able to earn them through my Avon business – and I earned over $350 worth of these gift cards and we used them ALL at our favorite restaurants like LongHorns. To find out what restaurants in your area accept these gift cards – just go to their site at Restaurant.com and put in your zip code. (The site can be a little slow… just let it do it's thing.)
I earned 50 points in under a minute…. easily. So when I go back – I'll be working toward the first goal of 10,000 points for a $10 gift card. Sure – you may only earn about $50 a year in gift cards… but that's a free meal for my whole family somewhere – or at least a huge discount on a nice meal. If you go in each day and do 5-10 minutes – it will add up.
My goal is to get started now – and to not cash in any of my points until around this time next year. I will use my gift either around my wedding anniversary or near the holidays when everything is crazy and my family and I just need a night out where someone else cooks and there's no dishes!
Of course – if their prizes change as they get bigger and more popular – then who knows what I might cash in my points for in a year. Might be that you can swap them out for cash just like Swagbucks.
