As Member Services Associate, you will make sure that SumOfUs members have a great experience when they get in touch. You will be responsible for managing all the ways our members get in touch - whether by email, by post or by telephone. You will help ensure the team are kept abreast of what our members think of our work and campaigns.

This is a part-time contract for 12 hours per week, at USD $25 per hour.
The initial contract is for 6 months, with possibility of extension.
You'll work from home in a timezone within 5 hours of New York (GMT to GMT-10), so you could be based anywhere in the Americas, UK, West Africa or similar.
The job starts as soon as possible.
SumOfUs is looking for a part-time Member Services Associate to:
Manage our member-facing inboxes and answer emails.
Give our members a great experience when they get in touch with SumOfUs.
Answer queries by phone, email or post.
Skills and experience
Customer service experience, with strong email responsiveness and enthusiasm to communicate with SumOfUs members worldwide;
Excellent writing and communication skills in fluent English;
Can work well independently, and in a team, especially in a virtual office;
Competence using online tools and web applications, including Google suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google docs, etc), Slack, Zoom, etc.
Alignment with our mission of building a fairer and more sustainable global economy.
Nice to have:
These skills and experiences are not required, but are considered a big plus:
Communication skills in major world languages besides English, especially German or French (if so, please tell us how fluent you are in that language, in both verbal and written communication);
From or experience working closely with communities affected by corporate accountability issues -- from indigenous communities to low-wage workers;
Experience with project management;
Experience working in a non-profit organization;
Experience in fast-moving, start-up or virtual office environments;
Familiarity with the MoveOn/Avaaz/SumOfUs online campaigning model;
Personal familiarity with consumer experiences or the workings of big corporations.
