JOB DESCRIPTION AND DETAILS
This is a FULL-TIME REMOTE position.
Accurately assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, Inpatient E/M, procedural codes, along with modifiers and units of service based on documentation reviewed.
Accurately assign appropriate Anesthesia codes.
Accurately follow CPT and CMS Documentation Guidelines.
Notify management to any documentation trends for additional provider education.
Maintain current coding certificate.
Maintains a 95% accuracy rate.
Minimum productivity of 18 E/M encounters per hour.
Minimum productivity of 10 Anesthesia cases per hour.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Certified Medical Coder (CPC) certification required
Minimum of 3 years E/M coding experience
Must have remote coding experience
Working knowledge of CMS documentation guidelines
Ability to meet and/or exceed expectations in accuracy and productivity
Time management skills
Knowledge Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to analyze, problem-solve, and work independently effectively
Attention to detail and data entry accuracy is essential
Must be able to sit, verbally converse and work on a computer for long periods of time
Frequent use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse
Qualified candidates will be required to take and pass an EM assessment.
