We are seeking a dedicated and professional Inbound Healthcare Enrollment Assistant to join our remote team. This role involves taking inbound calls and occasionally making outbound calls to retirees, assisting them in confirming, scheduling, or rescheduling appointments with benefits advisors, and answering questions related to the status of their applications or general inquiries. The position also requires updating customer contact information, responding to chat requests, and guiding customers through website navigation and self-service options.

This role is heavily scripted, and the successful candidate must be comfortable reading and following scripts during calls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound calls from retirees to confirm, schedule, or reschedule appointments with benefits advisors.
  • Provide accurate information to customers regarding the status of their applications and address general inquiries.
  • Update and verify customer contact information in the system.
  • Respond to customer requests with timely and accurate information.
  • Assist customers with website navigation and guide them through self-service options.
  • Follow and adhere to provided scripts during all customer interactions.
  • Maintain professionalism, patience, and empathy when dealing with customer inquiries or concerns.
  • Carefully document all customer interactions to ensure accurate records are maintained.
  • Utilize available resources to fully research and resolve customer issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center environment.
  • Previous experience in Medicare or healthcare-related fields is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products.
  • Ability to troubleshoot general website issues.

  • Ability to talk and type simultaneously, ensuring efficient handling of customer inquiries.
  • Strong multitasking abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities during calls.
  • Demonstrates strong ownership skills and takes initiative in resolving customer issues.
  • Maintains a professional and calm demeanor, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Exhibits patience and empathy when interacting with customers, particularly retirees.
  • Aptitude for understanding and explaining complex issues and information clearly.
  • Excellent active listening skills to understand and address customer concerns effectively.
  • Ability to interpret verbal cues and respond appropriately.
  • Strong research skills to fully investigate and resolve customer issues.
  • Diligent in documenting all customer interactions to ensure accurate and thorough records.

Technical Requirements:

  • High Speed internet access, must be hardwired, minimum 20 MBPS download and 10 MBPS upload.
  • Cannot use wifi, satellite, or mobile internet providers.
  • Cannot use a VPN while on the clock.
  • A computer will be provided for you to use initially but you will need to provide your own equipment beginning early 2025. You will need to provide your own second monitor, and noise cancelling headset with built in mic, and webcam.
  • Required specifications for your computer:
    • Laptop or Desktop computer – no tablets, e-machines, winbooks, or chromebooks
    • Processor: i3 or newer with a minimum 3 GHZ processor
    • RAM: 4GB minimum (Must have at least 2GB of available ram)
    • Windows 10 or 11, no Macs
    • Minimum 256 GB SSD
    • Dual monitors
    • Webcam for meetings and training purposes
