Customer Service Rep – Work at Home $55,000 – $65,000 a year – Full-time

We would love for you to become part of the CHEERS team working from your home. You’ll join our team of customer service representatives based across California. As a virtual customer service rep, you will act as the first point of contact for our customers by answering their queries through phone, chat or email. You will be responsible for resolving a wide variety of customer issues and educating them to resolve issues themselves.

Our representatives are bright, articulate, and detail-oriented with a genuine desire to find solutions to customer problems. They play a critical role in delivering timely, accurate, and professional customer service to CHEERS customers, helping solve problems such as: correcting a document in the CHEERS Registry; training CHEERS Registry usage with a new user; or assisting a HERS Rater to get a completed Project Status Report to their client on time.

Our virtual customer support is a ‘Work from Home’ model allowing you to work from the comfort of your home. It is the responsibility of the representative to ensure uninterrupted internet connectivity and ‘work-like’ environment at home location so that associates can deliver their best in terms of productivity and quality.

Your responsibilities include

  • Help a variety of CHEERS customers by phone, e-mail and/or chat. Handle customer concerns, and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives; follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Use internal tools and programs to navigate the website, research accounts, review options and solutions for customers, and communicate them effectively.
  • Ability to empathize with and prioritize customer needs.
  • Routinely meet with the CHEERS Team via Microsoft Teams video calls.
  • Opportunity to learn other areas of the business and support specialty departments as needed.

Basic qualifications

  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative. Direct experience in the California HERS Rater, residential HVAC, or residential construction industries a major plus.
  • Strong typing, phone, and computer navigation skills. Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
  • You must provide a home work area that is free of any and all distractions. You must be able to devote your full undivided attention to the CHEERS customer.
  • A minimum of 10 mbps download and 5 mbps upload speed from a reliable internet provider (Cable, DSL or Fiber Optic/FiOS providers only).

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary $55,000 – $65,000 depending on experience.
