JOB DESCRIPTION AND DETAILS
As many of us are facing being out or work right now - Amazon is hoping to ramp up it's worker count to help with the demands of COVID 19.
These positions are mainly warehouse and delivery. Warehouse workers will see in increase of $2 to their hourly pay. (Most make $15 an hour now -- so you're looking at $17 an hour through April.)
Those that are economically impacted are encouraged to apply.
The worry regarding health and safety are certainly one of the first things that come to mind. Dave Clark, senior vice president of Amazon's worldwide operations stated:
“We continue to consult with medical and health experts, and take all recommended precautions in our buildings and stores to keep people healthy,” Clark said. “We’ve taken measures to promote social distancing in the workplace and taken on enhanced and frequent cleaning, to name just a few."
I realize this isn't a work at home job - but felt it should be mentioned. Please pass this along to anyone you know that is looking for work.
Clark went on to say, "We want those people to know we welcome them on our teams until things return to normal and their past employer is able to bring them back.”
