Many women that I talk to each day that have been on the hunt for work at home have found success in direct sales or running their own home based business. Thought it’s not an actual “job” as far as employee and employer, it does allow them freedom, flexibility of time and to make extra income.

I’ve dabbled in many direct sales ventures. I truly believe it’s a Goldilocks type adventure. I don’t mean that being frightened away by three bears! I mean – finding a business that “fits” just right. Many businesses that I thought would be perfect – for whatever reason…maybe the comp plan, maybe the training and support, or maybe I just loved the products so much – I thought – who wouldn’t love these?

But I’ve been surprised. Many times….a business just didn’t suit my personality. Maybe it was too big a commitment? Maybe there wasn’t enough flexibility or too much monetary investment. Maybe it was too much

recruiting, too many home parties….it just didn’t work out.

But I never lost faith in making an income from home. I still do a direct sales business (Avon). I also do other programs. I have several websites — so I’m not banking on just one thing.

Finding the perfect “no fee work at home” solution for you may be a mixed bag as well. Or…maybe it will just be One job, straight forward and a weekly paycheck that you can count on to be a certain amount week after week.

There is no right or wrong when it comes finding your work at home niche. I honestly feel trial and error is a good thing. You get to know yourself better when you try things. Learn from situations that didn’t work out.

Just remember….

Keep your options open. A home business can be a wonderful way to work at home. Finding the right business is key. Finding the right “whatever” is key.

However, if actual employment aka: JOB is what you want, remember competition is fierce and the jobs are scarce. You must be dedicated to looking for work daily and for submitting your qualifications professional.

I hope that MoneyMakingMommy can assist you in some small way in your search for work at home. I know my site isn’t the end all, be all in the entire work at home realm – but I give it a lot of heart. I really do. I understand where you’re coming from and I do truly want to help.

I spend many hours each week just sitting here at my computer doing searches. I don’t get paid for my time. I don’t rake in gobs and gobs of money. It’s a labor of love. So though it’s not perfect…..it’s a good starting point in my opinion.
