JOB3: Graphic Designer with Web Site

We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer for steady, flat pay rate,
contract work in the San Antonio, Austin or surrounding area. The
position requires any applicant to have 1-2+ years doing Photoshop and
Web Site Layout work. Bilingual in Spanish/English is a BIG plus but not
required.
Contractors Responsibilities:
1) Create Photoshop PSD or Fireworks files of a complete site lay-out
that are ready for future HTML and PHP development, modifications,
and/or insertion.
2) Perform ongoing changes to existing site graphic files for our
clients.
3) Properly estimate and budget time for projects.
4) Maintain accurate and honest time sheets online through our timesheet
management tool (Harvest).
Position's Required Skill Sets:
- Proven experience of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or
Fireworks. (You are not required to have experience in all the
applications, but your portfolio will be reviewed and checked for
creativity, style, and quality of work).
- Applicant must have thorough Photoshop PSD file creation skills. Must
be creative in their designs and use the latest styles for creating
attractive and functional websites for a variety of client sites.
- Designs must be standards-based and therefore be able to be modified
with development tools like Dreamweaver, Flash, etc.
Other Preferred Skill Sets:
Flash
- Looking for basic design knowledge - using vector design programs like
Adobe Illustrator.
Print Design
- Looking for basic print design knowledge - using print design programs
like Adobe Illustrator, InDesign & etc.
Contractor Terms & Conditions:
- Paid twice a month (1st & 15th) based on online reported & approved
hours.
- Large scale projects may be based on project pricing versus hourly
rate, but that will be discussed in advance and with mutual agreement on
all terms.
- Standard MNDA signed pertaining ONLY to work done for our company.
- EXTREME attention to detail and high level of consistency.
- Must hit deadlines and plan accordingly when estimating project goals.
- Must be able to take constructive and polite critique on work done and
be willing to improve or fix errors.
- Must have a desire to learn new techniques, as the internet is
constantly changing and you need to be willing to keep up with new ideas
and procedures for web design.
