Sunlark Research Review – Being a Court Researcher

Sunlark is a company that was originally created in 2005. Its purpose is to provide court research for clients, and they need freelance contractors who are ready and willing to collect the necessary information and enter it into data programs.

The Type of Freelance Contractor Sunlark Wants

One of the interesting things about Sunlark is the type of contractors they’re looking for. They actively hire two different sets. If you have a high typing speed and can quickly provide the company with error free data, the company would love to add you to their data processing team. Most of the work you would be doing can be done in the comfort of your own home and will be pretty simple. As a data collector, you will be working with excel worksheets. Make sure you’re familiar with the program prior to applying for a position with Sunlark.

Sunlark Research is also on the lookout for people who are interested in doing actual research work. The exact nature and complexity of these assignments will vary, making it the perfect opportunity too. (See my post, Courthouse Research Jobs [How to Make Money & Who’s Hiring] for more awesome jobs like this one.)

What You Can Expect from Sunlark

There are several things that I love about doing court research work for Sunlark, including:
• The fact that I can set my own hours, as long as the work is completed by the time the deadline rolls around, the company is happy.
• I find the work interesting
• The company treats freelance contractors with respect, something I’ve learned not to take for granted.

Whether or not you’ll be able to earn enough while working for Sunlark to allow you to quit your more traditional job will depend on a few different factors, however, if you’re serious about committing to a work at home income, you’ll be pleased to learn that if you choose, you will have the ability to work 30-40 hours a week.

Geography

Sunlark Research has to be the only company I’ve ever encountered where your address impacts the amount of work you’ll be able to acquire. Individuals who live in large counties that deal with a heavy caseload can basically use Sunlark as a form of full-time employment, but if you live in a small county that doesn’t have a high crime rate, you will only find a few hours of work each week.

A Word of Caution

I feel it’s my duty to warn you that although most of the court researching work you’ll do for Sunlark Research can be done at home, there could be times when you have to leave your home and consult a nearby law firm or courthouse.

The good news is that when you do have to leave your home and travel to the courthouse, you won’t have to worry about the cost. Sunlark is quite happy to reimburse your mileage.

Sunlark Research Pay

There are several factors that impact the amount of money you’ll make from Sunlark. They have a high pay range and the final total depends on the type of project you’ve been assigned. In most cases, you should expect to make between $0.25-10.00 per assignment. The more complicated the assigned task, the more you’ll get paid. Even if you’re only making $0.25, if you can collect and enter the data quickly, you can make $10.00 an hour. Sunlark uses direct deposit and pays weekly.

Conclusion

I’ve really enjoyed working for Sunlark Research and think it’s a great way to increase the amount of money you bring in every single week.

UPDATE 5/1/2023: Sunlark no longer exists as a courthouse research company. They have shifted the entire basis of the company to a learning/education software company. Therefore, there are no courthouse research jobs to be had.
