Working From Home Stuffing Envelopes

Sounds easy enough. You stay home and just stuff envelopes and earn cash.

Sounds almost too easy doesn't it?

Have I ever personally worked from home stuffing envelopes? No. Not specifically.
I have stuffed baggies with Avon books and samples. Does that count?

So what exactly is envelope stuffing - and can you really work at home doing it?
As far as I know....envelope stuffing is a scam. A flat out scam. Almost always there
is some kind of small "fee" involved to get started. Uh huh. Small fee for what? Typically
what happens is that you pay the fee, hoping to get some work out of it and get
started - and then before you know it (when there is no way to get your money back!), you
get some cheesy letter or email telling you to place the same "ad" that you fell for in
your local paper and make money off more suckers.

Incredible. There are some smarmy people out there.

My suggestion - as always - with any program that asks for money - find out what you are paying for!!
Research the company. Know the refund policies.

But - on that note....not all fees mean something is a scam.

I charge $10 for an Avon kit. Why do I do that? Because Avon charges ME $10 for the kit. How can they (or I), afford to give you an Avon tote, order book, one box of samples, reference guides and start up materials AND 20 brochures for free?? Just one pack of 10 Avon brochures is $5.75? So by giving a new Avon Rep 20 books, that's $11.50! That's JUST the brochures.

Is Avon a scam? OH gosh....you and I both know it's not. Hardly.
Hey - Avon helps me pay a lot of bills around my house - so don't knock it.

But back to envelope stuffing. It might seem like stuffing envelopes from home would be an ideal work at home job - but from the research I did - I don't see a real company offering a legit envelope stuffing position. I'm not even sure they need humans to stuff envelopes anymore? Don't they have machines now that do that?

And even if a company couldn't afford envelope stuffing machines - they would probably have in house folks to do it or....they may OUTSOURCE. Outsourcing. Hmmmmm....now there would be a way to get a job stuffing envelopes.
If a legit company needed someone to hand stuff envelopes for them - and they were outsourcing - then that would be an avenue for getting a job like this.

Now - how do you find out who needs outsourced envelope stuffers? Now there in lies the a legitimate question.
If you can find a LOCAL company in need of some kind of envelope or goodie bag to be stuffed - and you can talk to someone in person - I think that would be worth checking out. Maybe even something like Welcome Wagon? Or maybe start your own "welcoming" business - and make up your own baggies. Because I have a real estate license - I know a lot of realtors and we all like to give "thank you" gifts to our clients. Welcome baggies are great. So maybe starting your own business is the route to go if "stuffing" job leads has left you feeling less than eager or inspired.

If I ever do come across a REAL envelope stuffing company, that doesn't charge a fee and actually employs people - I will pass it along. Right now - I have yet to find a company that does.
