Weebly Jobs Review and Details for Customer Support Positions

There are a few different reasons why anyone who is developing a work at home career should take a good hard look at Weebly.

First, the company makes developing a website easy, and if you’re going to do any work for private clients, having a high quality, user-friendly website is something you need to have. Weebly allows to build a good website for free.

The second reason you want to look at Weebly is that the site provides you with yet another way you can supplement your work at home income. The company wants motivated, self-disciplined individuals with strong communication skills to help with their customer service program. (See my post, Online Customer Service Jobs for more great job ideas like this one.)

What I Like

One of the things I’ve really liked about doing customer service work for Weebly is that even though I’m working out of my home, they’ve gone to great lengths to make sure I still feel like a member of their team. Even though they’ve been steadily growing and are no longer the tiny company they once were, they’ve done a good job of maintaining a small, close-knit company vibe.

The company is based in San Francisco, California but people from all over the United States are able to work for the company thanks to telecommuting positions. Some of these telecommuting positions have even led to full-time positions with the company.

The Downside of Working for Weebly

Sometimes I have a difficult time not getting aggravated by the customers I’m dealing with. A shocking number of the people who use Weebly websites don’t truly know anything about website design or management, and they don’t always listen to the advice their given. Every single day, I’m astounded by the number of people who contact me with the expectation that I’ll do everything for them. While I think Weebly provides a great work at home opportunity, I also think people who are easily frustrated probably should look at other opportunities.

Getting the Telecommuting Job

I was able to obtain my work at home position at Weebly through the Flexjobs website and most of the people I’ve spoken to who also work at Weebly have gotten their position the same way. The entire process was very smooth and even the interview was laid back and fun.

The Pay

The average telecommuting salary is $15 an hour, which isn’t too bad considering the company does a wonderful job of letting me pick my hours. I’ve had no trouble keeping my hours very flexible and have had no trouble getting paid on time by the company. I recently noticed that on Glassdoor, they have Weebly Customer Support Agents having an average pay of $17-$18 an hour and the company has a 4.2 rating there out of 5.

At this moment I usually only work about 20 hours a week for Weebly, but the company has stated that if I ever want to do more work, I’m free to increase the number of hours I put in.

** I applied through Flexjobs.com — so start your search there. You can check their site too – but I haven't seen any “virtual” positions posted there.

Looking for part-time work from home. Possibly for customer service.

Sounds like every online job ever! lol :)

I can imagine it must be particularly bad if you’re doing support for a free website builder, though. But hey, $17 an hour and flexible hours, plus you’re working from home. That’s not too shabby! Maybe it’s worth the frustration.

Weebly also is posting only office jobs. No at home work. Is there a special site or are all these companies no longer using home based workers?

Yeah — that’s the unfortunate part about Flexjobs. I think they charge jobseekers and the employers both :/

So, I went to the FlexJobs website to check if Weebly has any open chat support positions, only to discover FlexJobs requires a paid subscription to view their job listings. No thanks!
