WORK AT HOME JOB: Freelance Writers Needed
Can you condense a complex article in two sentences? Can you meet multiple daily deadlines? Then you’re the person for us! SmartBrief is seeking freelance writers to help create daily online business and consumer news e-mail publications in the following beats: education and business. Candidates would need to be available to start between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. EST Monday through Friday.
What we’re looking for: Someone who loves writing and who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-intensive, newsroom-style work environment. The ideal candidate has worked as a writer or editor on the beats named above for a newspaper, trade journal or industry publication with multiple daily deadlines. Our briefs summarize the top stories of the day for dozens of industry associations, and our freelancers work with our editors to shape that content. You will not be reporting or writing long-form articles in this position!
Applicants will be asked to complete a timed writing test. This position is a telecommuting position.
